Explaining what I do for a living is difficult, in part due to NDAs but also because it is diverse. Recently I have moved toward programming on my own, designing and implementing applications and tools for my team. This has primarily been in Python, which I find fascinating; there has been some database work in PostgreSQL and some HTML/CSS work also, along with Jinja, as part of my Flask implementations. I have been in tech-support-like roles for most of my 35+ year career; the common thread is problem-solving.
My spare time is spent in a number of different ways. I have a number of hobbies, including Amateur Radio and Woodworking, and I also program during my off-hours as I am enjoying it so much. I find myself constantly learning, both actively and passively. I also enjoy helping my sons to move towards their goals in life.
