KS4TD

I've been working with computers for about 30 years now and am a CompTIA A+ Certified Professional. I also earned an AAS in network systems administration from ITT Technical Institute in 2014. I mainly program in Pascal, having done so since 1987 as a hobbyist. I am slowly teaching myself C so I can do more in Linux. Yes, I'm a Linux fan, specifically Devuan Linux (am not a fan of systemd).

I'm now medically retired and tinker with computers and electronics for fun but having a solid background in IT allows for more in-depth tinkering.

I'm a member of the MBSE BBS Development Team. MBSE BBS is an open source BBS suite of programs, allowing for a fully self-contained BBS, written in C, for *NIX. I have run a BBS since 1996. I started programming DOS-based BBS doors and I still write those doors today.

I am an Extra class amateur radio operator having been continually licensed since 1997. I held the callsign KD5COL from November 1997 to July 10, 2020, when I changed my callsign to KS4TD. I mainly operate HF between 80 and 10 meters, enjoying 80 through 15 meters using SSB and various digital modes such as Feld Hell, FSK Hell 105 (FMHELL), PSK31, Olivia, and RTTY.
